hi ya'll. i am in georgia on the first few miles of my tour with arlo guthrie. if you don't know who arlo guthrie is, here is some crucial info. his father was woodie guthrie, a legendary folk artist. he has writted timeless classics such as, "this land is your land, this land is my land", and other favorites. here is a song bob dylan wrote for woodie, his biggest inspiration and influence.
here is arlo, performing on his latest tour, the tour on which i am currently the merchandise girl:
i just saw a sign that said "the palms at amelia". so if you are looking for palms.....pictures are coming soon.
onward ho.

L.A. woman
upon arrival in los angeles i went to in and out burger with my friend josh. it is fascinating to me that the fast food on the west coast is made with such enthusiasm! AND I CAN EAT IT WITHOUT FEELING LIKE I WILL DIE AFTER I DIGEST IT. amazing stuff.
just to get y'all up to speed here, let me give you the rundown of my trip/move here so far. i have a crazy month. i stayed with my uncle patrick for the first week, he lives in the valley, van nuys. we even made a holiday video for the fam.
i am a dorkess.
so the next person i stayed with lives in studio city. his name is ben. ben was the first person i met in L.A. really. i walked up to him, positioned him, and took his picture. please see below.
ben lives in a pool house, likes anime, and playing video games. his favorite, which he is terrific at, is CALL OF DUTY, of which i am sure some of you are familiar. with josh. ben can only play video games at josh's apartment because josh is the one with the equipment. unfortunately, the video gaming equipment recently broke. i believe it was divine intervention. obssesion can kill. you can't escape addiction, so choose yours carefully.
anyhew, my first and only week living with ben made for real photographic magic it seems. ben went into the shower, and i stripped down and took a quick self- portrait poolside.
a natural being over an un-natural chlorinated body of water.
moving is a big change. it really uproots you. i think this portrait shows my natural inner state here on earth. a natural being, in the body i did not choose, the life i did not choose, in the time i did not choose. i have been given so much. and yet i am uncomfortable.
allison and i went to chinatown LA. not what i was expecting. first of all, there are no people there, i mean compared to new york. i did get some fabulous shots of myself donning the items i cannot afford to buy.
a blue hat.
and a wooden sword.
allison looks like this.
usually, she is de-masked.
she is probably the most focused, and driven person i have ever met. her visions are clear. she knows where she wants to go, and she is going there. something i have heard recently that really opened my eyes and ears is this phrase:
"if you are not looking where you are going, then you are going where you are looking."
now thaat is deep. at least for me. when i am without focus, structure, foundation, i tend to float. like a feather in a breeze.
ONLY IN LA will this happen.
